Honey Diet - Way to live Longer and Stronger

There is a saying that “Eat to live and not live to eat", no one can disagree with this but what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat has been forgotten by many of us when we read this quote. We just want to eat enough so that we can do our daily routine work without health issues but we don’t look for long term health care. These days with so much health awareness initiatives and due to fear of so many young people dying due to diseases, people are willing to sacrifice something for good long term health.

With such fast paced life especially in our cities, many of us have no option but to take crash diet, which might look ok in short term but for long term it is bane. Now a days young people are getting diagnosed with diseases like Sugar, excess Cholesterol, Heart Attacks, though the crash diet may not be only reason for all this but it does play massive role in such diseases. By virtue of having a balanced nutritious diet aka Honey diet we can control these issues in big way. Our body is so much powerful that it just needs good healthy food supply and it takes care of everything itself. By continuing with Crash diet we are putting our life both personal and economical in danger as bad health not only takes toll on body but also on family’s financial balance. Crash diet may be good in taste but it will waste a family and one should avoid

Now as all of us know how much bad crash diet can be for us what is the solution we have? Can we all become health conscious and stop enjoying taste? No, we just need to maintain a balance between these. We have so many options that works in both ways, taste and good for health. We have so many tasty and nutritious fruits, we should make it part of daily diet. We can put real natural taste in our daily foods and enjoy it with the family. A healthy diet will not only makes you feel energetic all day, it will keep you happy from inside too.

The satisfaction of having a balanced diet is really joyous and it encourages you to do things which people with bad food habits feel scared of doing, things like running, doing exercise, playing with kids when they ask you. A healthy diet on daily basis will make you reduce your medical expenses as it will keep your immunity system intact and will protect from so many virus present in environment. A healthy diet on daily basis will make you enjoy 1 of those odd party fatty diets even more as you won’t need to worry about your health just because you are already taking enough nutrition on daily basis. Just try this for 1 month, take nutritious balanced diet for 14 days and then on 15th enjoy the food like Pizza or Burger, it will make you feel amazing, then repeat this at 29 day interval and keep increasing the interval. It is the system thought of by me and I am sure it is going to make our life healthier and wealthier.

Use Ayurveda to get Radiant Skin

We all will love to have a clean skin free from blackheads and pimples, It may be of any texture or color but as long as it is clean and healthy we feel energize and happy. The skin must be taken care with highest sensitivity possible because one wrong decision and it can spread in entire body. There are many ways to take care of our skin, we have ancient traditional ways using herbs made of plants and tree leaves and if we go in modern times we have big companies making lot of skin care cosmetic products using healthy and sometimes unhealthy chemicals.

But there is no doubt that some companies like Vicco are using Ayurveda based ingredients to prepare these cosmetic skin care products which are natural and don’t use harmful chemicals. In our Indian civilization Ayurveda has great history of providing natural products for taking care of our skin. We    have things like Milk, Multani soil, Curd, Wheatgrass, coriander seeds and Indian gooseberry that can be applied on face and then we have things like fresh fruits and vegetables that must be consumed to make our skin health from inside. There are so many simple ways to make our skin clean and healthy from both inside and outside and these vary from whether skin is dry or oily or mixed type.

1. We should eat very less oily and spicy food as spicy food can lead to a bad stomach and bad stomach is the source of a really unhealthy skin. We should eat only easily digestible food that includes steamed food and salads.

2. We should reduce our intake of caffeine and alcohol based products and try to consume herbal products like Juice and most importantly water. Water is source of energy for skin and keeps it hydrated and also it doesn’t cost much to consume in enough quantity.

3. We should take fresh fruits like Orange that contains enough Vitamin C that is must for a healthy skin.

4. We should take herbal tea and other herbal products prescribed in our Ayurveda manifesto if we want to make sure our skin doesn’t get aged by passing time.

5. We have Aloe vera that has many benefits for the skin. It has antibacterial properties that help kill bacteria that cause acne, anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe irritated skin, and astringent properties that help heal scars. Plus, Aloe vera moisturizes the skin and stimulates new skin cell growth.

6. We should use Papaya, walnut, mint, honey, coconut oil, Lemon as all these are great for a skin care and all these are easily available in natural way .Even if we use any of these on regular basis that is more than enough for keeping a health skin.

The above mentioned suggestions are easy to apply no  matter where you are, along with these we have VICCO Turmeric Cream to take care of our skin on daily basis.

The Farce of Make My Trip APPY Hours

In the evening I got notification from Make My Trip APP about some Happy Hours where they were giving Cashback of 800 Rs for any Domestic Flight booking ,only condition was booking should be on 21st May between 6 PM-10 PM and by MMT APP only.

As I was looking to book flight anyway , I tried to take advantage of this but just to get fooled by them and here was the catch. When I searched flight from Bangalore to Allahabad for 10th November, I got flight with least price as 6683 INR, then i searched same thing on MMT APP and surprisingly lowest price for same day and same location was 7013 INR.

So if you book from Website , you will pay 6683-200 (MMT200 Coupon always gives discount of 200) = 6483+250 (booking Charge ) , so total will be 6733 .

If you book from APP, you will pay 7013+250 (Booking Charge ) ,so total will be 7263, and then they will give 800 Rs as cash-back in your MMT wallet which will expire just in 6 months, so you will have to book another flight in 6 months if you want to use this money.

So this MMTAPPYHOURS is just farce.

Same Flight Search on MMT Website

Same Flight Search on MMT APP during Appy Hours

Mothers - The Experts on everything

Mother, the word that makes you feel confident, makes you feel special and the most importantly makes you feel proud. Not only human beings, even every species in this word has the highest place for mother in their society. A Mother will do anything for her kid no matter what is the situation and how much effort it require. She will have sleepless nights so that her kids can sleep peacefully, she will have least food so that her kids can have good food. She will be always available when kid is scared, worried, hungry, ill or in any even minor problem.

My mother was no different from an ideal mother and I had wonderful days of my life when I was with her for 20 years. I have learned every manner of a civilized society from her and how to deal with different emotions without letting yourself down. She was never ready to let me cry for something that was in her control. She suffered insults many time because of my mistakes and foolishness but she did never let me feel guilty, even she never allowed anyone else to make me feel guilty.

She was my first diet expert. What I needed to eat and what I should not eat, she had every expert advice with valid reasons. She would never let me have something which might cause something bad to my health. She would prepare the healthiest and tastiest food for me whenever I felt hungry. She would advise me on what to eat in any party or gathering.

She was my first health expert. What is best time to wake up, what is best time to sleep, when to do what that would make me healthy, all expert tips she had and was following just to make sure I remain healthy in every season. Even a small sneeze or cold would make her worried and she will do everything to make me feel comfortable again. I still remember how I was hit by tennis ball once on my forehead and she asked me to visit doctor for that small thing. Mothers are never easy when it come to their kid’s health.

She was my first education expert. What I need to learn and from whom I need to learn, all she was having expert opinion on. If I was getting some wrong knowledge from someone, she was first person to correct me and provide me the right information. Whenever teachers try to force me to learn something, she was first to request them to go smooth on me and make me feel comfortable in learning even tough things.

She was my first money expert. She would be making sure that I knew importance of money and how to deal with it with the little sense I had in my young days. She would buy me stuffs that were not costly but that were of some good use for me and my brother. Someday she would give me enough money to make me happier but only for small time before she would ask me on how to save money.

Mothers are always the first source of information and help for their kids. They are ready to sacrifice anything just to make sure that her kids are happy and prospering. A mother is only person who with all little knowledge and resources she has will become the biggest support for her kid.

No language can express the power and beauty and heroism of a mother’s love.” – Edwin H. Chapin

Note : This blog post is part of Godrej Expert contest for mothers day and I would like to thank Godrej expert for inspiring us to write something for our mothers as our first experts.

The Mystery of Ek Nayi League

This is probably the 1st time I am writing about something that I am not sure about, yes it is all about Ek Nayi league having the great Kapil Dev as its face. We are provided with some videos as clues to guess what new league Kapil Dev is talking about and based on that I can surely guess that it is not about Cricket. Based on Gesture by Kapil Dev in all the promos I guess it has to do something with Mind and knowledge. I have been following Ek Nayi League and Kapil Dev on twitter to guess more and more but to be honest I am still not convinced about my guess, yes it is that much puzzling.

In all the videos Kapil Dev is emphasizing on how one should play in this league with mind and not heart, if you play with heart you are going to lose for sure. He invokes Dhoni and his retirement , Sania Mirza and how girl power is making Country proud , challenging comedian Kapil Sharma to face his Googly, talks about how feels proud of Yuvraj Singh and his 16 Crores contract in IPL after his come back from Cancer. He many times talks about why other people don’t make much money like many players. Based on all these comments, I guess this league is going to involve common people from different cities as a team to make good money may be by doing trading in Indian stock market with the help of expert inputs.

This league looks like a league that will involve people to invest money on stocks based on their expertise and research. It will help many people from other small cities of India to participate and win big. It will involve people starting to put money in stock market and make profit out of it based on their research about companies they want to invest in. This league will have some other activities/competition related to share market. People will be required to start with a small fixed amount to participate in the league and then they can go big based on their zeal and ability. As it will be played as a competition, many people will be eager to beat others in earning money from their invested money.

To conclude my guess I believe it is going to be league of betting on stocks and also some other activities based on the format and requirements. This league will put everyone be it sports star or entertainment star or a common person at same floor where everyone will have same opportunity to make big money and can dream of good life. All one need is to register with small fixed amount and then get going in investing.

I can’t wait more to know all details about this league, if you are as excited as me, do follow all the information at http://www.eknayileague.com/ or follow Hashtag #EkNayiLeague on Twitter.

Varanasi Boat School - Reshaping Future of Children of River Ganga

In India, the country that is home for more than 120 Crores Human beings and out of them many are kids, literacy rate can really be a path breaking parameter in making or breaking the country. With so many resources required to teach all these children, it can really be a tedious task for the society and the Government. Even if we are able to manage the resources, the poverty can be one more hurdle in educating those kids as those kids would be forced to earn living not only for themselves but also for their family. The challenges for educating these kids can be reduced only if all the corners of society join hands together and put forward an honest effort, else we are going to suffer badly in the long run with so many kids growing up illiterate.

Such an effort is “Boat School” being run by an NGO Guria which is led by Ajeet Singh in the city of Varanasi. There are many kids can be seen on banks of river Ganga wasting their time without any hope as there is no one to give them any direction or hope. Boat school works for all those kids by providing them 2 hrs daily in the evening once they are done with their daily routine, the environment  on boat is set up in such a way that in these 2 hrs kids can play, learn or do whatever they want without any tension. These 2 hrs. will make kids feel better about themselves, they will learn things independently and also it will increase their focus towards importance of learning and studies. The times these kids used to waste on the streets or on banks of Ganga is being transformed into time these kids are spending in Ideal learning.

Hopes on Boat

This boat school initiative needs a lot of encouragement so that it can be transformed magically. The magical transformation includes: makeover of the interiors, a library, educational toys, stationery,a computer and a painting kit. This magical transformation will help in restoration and redecoration of the interiors to provide kids the necessary books, CDs, furniture and toys. As books, CDs are basic necessities for any learning activity, your support for these is must so that this initiative can prosper leaps and bounces and help Boat school do right things within right time. Then the success of Varanasi can be replicated in other such cities and villages of India so that other kids also can dream of living a successful life and helping India to grow. The Journey of doing right by “Boat School” must reach to all such kids and help them prosper in life.

The Varanasi Boat School needs your support and love in all forms possible so that Children of Ganga can also dream of living a successful life. All these kids deserve a much better opportunity than what they have now and being a responsible citizen it is our responsibility to support this initiative. The little support you do in any form will have multiple positive effects on future of these kids, the small pledge each one of us takes may be in form of providing Scholarships to these kids will help “Boat School” touch life of many more kids of Varanasi and will help them in becoming an asset to our country. Step up and Help such noble cause.

Decision that mattered the most

Life will be tough to you if you remain constant and don’t adapt to the changing times. The change can be in any form, as personal level change, as professional level change or as social change.it is tough to adapt to changes if one does not have strong will power or decision making power.

I took such a tough decision on 18th Feb 2011 to move to Bangalore, a city that is around 2300 Kms away from my home. Only motivation behind taking that decision was to have a Successful Life on my own terms without depending on my family. It was aimed to get a nice job based on my qualification and then keep growing there. I was happy when I decided that but it was tough on emotional level not only for me but also for my loved ones. Imagine you leaving your loved ones on one fine day with whom you have spent beautiful moments of your life. So like every other person It was almost emotionally breaking decision for everyone in family, but I had strong enough will power to get out of that emotion and start the journey of my dreams.

Once I came to Bangalore and joined my 1st job within 1 month of coming here, one thing was clear in my mind and that was my Goal for which I have come so far. I still remember my 1st salary getting credited in bank account and then that night of 28th Feb came in my mind when I was waiting for train at Station for a long journey ahead. Had I become emotionally weak on that night and gone back home, I would have never got this feeling of happiness of living on my own. At that time my will power and tough decision making had paid off but there was long way to go. I kept working hard week after week, month after month and kept growing and in 4 years of journey in Bangalore I have come a long way successfully. Yes I do miss spending quality time with loved ones and home-made food , I do get emotional many times but feeling of being able to live on your terms and your own resources is immense. It makes you a man from a boy. It develops your personality as responsible human being. I have been able to do all this with only one tough decision that I had taken 4 years back and looking back I have no regret for it.

We need to keep taking decisions, sometime small ones in our day to day life and sometimes big and tough ones that determines how we are going to go ahead in life and what we are going to achieve in life. Just keep believing in yourself and keep taking strong decision to become a better person than you are now. I did it and it paid off for me. A decision taken at a right time is the best decision taken in life.

This blog post is part of initiative by https://housing.com to understand and share different stories related with starting a new life with the help of decisions one makes in life.

Living together and Conquering together

This post is part of wonderful initiative by https://housing.com for promoting optimism in life and how optimism played role in my life.

Life is unpredictable and it becomes really tough sometimes to handle the pressure and all the odds around us. Many times we all try to find short cut to get out of that tough situation , it works sometimes but most of the time it does not. This is the moment in life when your family and loved ones come in picture to help you get out of the tough condition. Many times just seeing their happy faces eases out your frustration and tension. If we have not had those people in our life, it would have been hell lot of tough to go through tough times and conquer in life.

I have always been a part of a lower middle class family of one of the most backward state of India, Uttar Pradesh. With relatively tough financial situation it was tough to persuade my mother for higher education and cost was way beyond our family capacity. I can’t forget the day I told her about me willing to do Masters in Computers after my Graduation, I was not sure how it would roll out with everyone in family but to my surprise I was applauded by them. I was even given a big hug and even some extra pocket money on that day to enjoy the decision I had taken and I chose to enjoy the moment with kids in family. It was a pleasant surprise on that day and I can never forget it. Despite all odds my decision was so well accepted, may be they had more confidence in me than I myself had about the decision. The awesome feelings you get during such days in your life are tough to pen down. During such moments sometimes you cry in happiness, sometimes you stand still without knowing how to react and there can’t be any happiness better than being able to live that moment with your loved ones.

That day turned me into a different person all together, if I had gotten even a hint of negativity from family members on that day, I would have never made it till here. That day was auspicious, awesome, pleasantry surprising and last but not the least Life Changing, to be more precise that would be my real Birth Day.
There is a saying that decisions you take in life makes you the person you would be, but to add to that the decision your loved ones take to support your decision is also important factor in making you. No doubt that I took that decision but the decision taken by my family members on that auspicious day helped me to grow up in life. Whenever I think about that day, it makes me sad and happy at same time, sad for giving troubling times to my family members but happy  that I didn't disappoint them and now we are living a relatively happy life than that we had in those tough times.

Despite our ever-connective technology, neither Skype nor Facebook - not even a telephone call - can come close to the joy of being with loved ones in person.

Dividends of Optimism

I have embraced and valued optimism in life during last 6 years like I had never before and now I have got a chance to share that story as part of wonderful initiative by https://housing.com/lookup for promoting Optimism in life.

The journey for a relatively good and successful life ahead starts from the initiative or initial decisions you take in your life. The powerful and worthy decision you take depends on how optimistic you are in life. If you are less optimistic you might take a decision to do something you could have done easily and even could have gone beyond that easily, but because you were less optimistic you didn’t take the bigger and relatively tougher decision. It is your optimism in life that drives your future prospect.

Now to go with the story, I always had love for writing, writing on something happening in life, in politics, in sports, thoughts going in minds. 6 years back I was optimistic that I could write but I was not good in English and even was not aware about how to share my writing with others. I used to write in old diary in Hindi and keep reading it daily to feel better, but then I came to know about reality that writing in English is mandatory to get a broader viewing and I decided that I am going to crack this out and yes I did it. I was ok in English but that was school level, I worked hard and in 1-2 years I was there writing my 1st complete blog post in English. The happiness of posting that blog post was bigger than cracking my board exams which were relatively tough though. From there journey started and I kept moving with hope that I am going to give my more than 100% for it. There were many obstacles like those come in jobs but I was optimistic that I would go through it and conquer the tough time. After sometime I got chance to attend an event in Bangalore and blog about that, and that blog changed by approach towards blogging , it is not just writing ,it is wring for someone or for something to help not only themselves but to myself too. Blogging can yield give results not only emotionally but monetarily. I have been to many events since then, have blogged about many where I was not part of and I am really enjoying it.

To conclude this long story in short, it was the love for writing that made me optimistic and helped me in taking a decision 6 years back to learn good English so that I could put out my thoughts in sentences and paragraphs and hopefully I have done good. If it was not for optimism at that time, I would have never taken decision to learn English writing and would have really missed the wonderful opportunity to pen down my thoughts and mostly the feeling of “Happiness of Writing”.

Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.

Bangalore Veg Food Joints

I have been in Bangalore for almost 3+ years and have been to many restaurants and hotels thanks to different Social Media events, but when it comes to pure food I have liked very few and as I am pure veggie, options gets reduced by big margin. So here are some of my regular visit places for Veg Food in Bangalore.

Mast Kalandar Mast Kalandar is chain of North Indian Veg restaurants in Bangalore and in some other cities. It offers only Veg North Indian food and snacks. It ranges from Punjabi Foods like Pindi Chole- bature to foods from other Northern parts of India, Must try are Curry like Kadhai Paneer , Naan and Different type of Parathas. In beverage you will find Lassi and Masala Chaach (probably best in Bangalore) and Juice items. In Snacks you can try nice variety of Chaat items.

Grameen : Grameen is located in Raheja Arcade near Forum Mall in Koramangala. Grameen is a Hindi word and it means Villager. The ambience when you sit here is exactly like you get to feel in your villages. Again it's Veg restaurant and North Indian food here is really nice. The way they serve food , utensils they use and decoration inside restaurant is just so peaceful and I am sure you are not going to miss your village once you go inside . You can try with a special Thali first if you are not sure about what to eat.

Ghar Ka Khana :  Ghar ka Khana is one of my favorite as it is one of the cheapest Veg food hub for North Indians. It has 2 branches in Bangalore. The food here totally justifies the name and that is why even without advertisement they are doing pretty good. Here you will find Basic North Indian food that you get in your homes and probably with same flavor. The Chapati, the Daal, The Curry all tastes likes made in home. They have unique Buffet options at as less as 100 Rs. They also provide different Parathas. If you want to eat simple and yet Tasty food at a reasonable price, try it once for sure.

PS : I havn't been paid to mention any of these :)

The " UnMetro "

Last week in Bangalore I was a part of this event Called “ The Unmetro” organized by Dainik Bhaskar a leading newspaper in different states of India and Afaqs an event management company . As from the name Unmetro you can sense that it is not about Metro . To explain in simple terms it was an event to discuss about emerging market and business scope in Unmetro cities of India, cities that are going to be like Metro in may be 7-10 years of time from now. There are around 50 such cities in India that are falling in this unmetro category and if you are looking for scope of business then these are some of the good places for you to start with. The event had speakers and panelist from different business categories and they explained their business experience in these cities and put forward thoughts on how future is going to be like for business in these cities. There are numerous opportunities for both national and international brands in India, especially in the tier II and tier III cities.

The Keynote was presented by P. Krishnakumar Executive Director & General Manager, Consumer & Small Business Dell India and he shared his experience about how Dell has managed to penetrate in these Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and have been really successful. He shared some of the great insights related with doing computer/IT business in these fast growing and aspiring cities.

The Keynote was followed by Ashwin Naik, CEO and co-founder, Vaatsalya, a chain of low-cost hospitals in the Unmetro cities of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. He explained about how he overcame tough and genuine negativity to establish the brand “Vaatsalya” in Tier 2 and 3 cities in South Part of India. He shared  about  a book  “ If you want to make God laugh then show him your business plan” and explained about how he is going to spread the brand in other unmetro of India .

It was followed by a panel discussion that had Sudhakar Rao, director - branding, ICFAI; Bhaskar Choudhari, director - marketing, Lenovo; Srinivasan KA, co-founder, strategy, business development and marketing, Amagi Media Labs; Meenal Lall, DGM Business Development AMC Cookware and Peter Suresh, head- BIU, DB Corp. In a  Q&A session where Arvind Hegde, managing director and director - consulting, Ray+Keshavan, participated in was concentrated on Design of Business.  Lacing his relies with examples, Hegde laid bare the design challenge in these markets, an altar at which a number of Indian brands had regrettably fallen short, according to him.

    Team Bangalore for Life

I was never a big fan of any Cricket Premier League team or of even Cricket Premier League when I was in my home town. The reason is obvious that I didn't have a team to associate with, to cheer for. There was no team even from my entire big State of UP in Cricket Premier League so it was tough to correlate with. But then I moved to Bangalore, my love for Cricket League started to increase day by day because of  Team Bangalore and no doubt that I am cheering for Team Bangalore madly . #RCBForLife Is the tagline to describe the madness with this club.

The Team Bangalore has so many world class players especially the batters. Look at our batting lineup for a T20 match, Mighty Gayle, Cool Kohli, Sixer king Yuvi and the formidable AB De Villieres along with Albie Morkel and the Indian Talents. Who can forget Gayle making 175 runs in just  66 balls against Pune, that was next to carnage for a fielding team. AB De playing match winning knocks so many times and this time we have got the King of sixes, the fighter Yuvraj Singh. There are very less players in cricket who can do such clean striking as Yuvi and Kohli. With Mitchel Starc leading the bowling along with young Chahal and the youngest Muralidharan we have a balanced bowling attack. We have a calm and experienced coach in Daniel  Vettori.

    • I am a fan of Team Bangalore and wanna be superfan so I am cheering for Team Bangalore
    • We were runner-up 2 times, I want Team Bangalore to win Cricket Premier League for 1st time so I am cheering for Team Bangalore
    • I love the city Namma Bangalore so I am cheering for Team Bangalore
    • I want Gayle and Yuvi to hit Sixes in the crowd and make them happy so I am cheering for Team Bangalore.
    • I want Mitchel Starc to bowl at 150 Km/hr and rout the opposition batting so I am cheering for Team Bangalore
    • Our Captain and ABD are one of the humblest and coolest cricketers so I am cheering for Team Bangalore
    • I have always been a fan of AB De Villeres no matter which team he plays for, he is part of Team Bangalore so I am cheering for Team Bangalore.
    • Each time I go to Chinnaswamy stadium, the environment and Vibe there gives me goose bumps feelings and to be a part of 40000 crowds cheering for Team Bangalore make me feel special so I am cheering for Team Bangalore.
    • Meeting with the team was one of the biggest moment in my life so I am cheering for Team Bangalore

    • Team Bangalore has all the ingredients to become a champion team so I am cheering for Team Bangalore.
    • #RCBForLife so I am cheering for Team Bangalore.

I will keep chanting Aaaaaaaaaaarrr Ceeeeeeeeeee Beeeeeeeeeeeeee :)
